DDA LAUNCHES INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The Urban Development Minister, Shri S. Jaipal Reddy has said that transparency is one way to reducing corruption and increasing the level of efficiency. Speaking at the launch of the Integrated Management System for a complete online computerization of the Delhi Development Authority here today, Shri Reddy said that computer is a wonderful tool, which enables government and governance as a transparent system. He said that the Integrated Management System would streamline the information in the Authority. The Minister stated that the UPA Government has laid great stress on e-governance and the integrated management system at the DDA will be an example to other organizations not only in Delhi but also in the country.


Earlier, the Minister lauded the role played by the DDA in keeping the capital city green. Shri Reddy expressed happiness stating that there is no complaint against the Authority with regard to transparency, impartiality and non-partisanship in the recent land auctions.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chairman of the DDA, Shri Dinesh Rai said that the Integrated Management System would not only improve the image of the organization but also bring about transparency in the DDA.

By launching Integrated Management System, the DDA aims to provide efficient services to the citizens of Delhi. Under this system all the operations and functions of the DDA will be computerized and automated. The Integrated Management System will improve the citizen interface and improve public image, increase transparency in DDA operations, increase efficiency in processing of papers and will help access information by citizens.

Because of the Integrated Management System, DDA will have effective management information systems in place, have effective decision making, have seamless information flow between various departments, have improved information reliability, will connect all DDA offices through state of art networking infrastructure.

The Information Management System will have broad scope for integrating areas like planning, architecture, land management, landscaping horticulture, engineering, housing, finance, land disposal, personnel management etc.
