Terms of Reference

1. Policy guidelines on Identity & Access Management will based on the outcomes of the two days summit on July 27-28, 2006 at NIC, HQ, New Delhi.

2. Manage instruction with similar initiatives and standard bodies elsewhere in the world.

3. Policy to be product independent and based on Standards as far as possible.

4. Create a supporting framework for implementation and validation.

5. Identify materials to facilitate wide scale adoption.

6. A quorum of group participants support any formal decision of the group.

7. Setting timeline for the release of the initial policy to the apex body of Standards of DIT.

8. Identify project for immediate implementation to validate the document and refine based on feedback.

9. Policy revision based on feedback during first year of implementation of the policy.

10.Change control of the Draft policy document and Version Management.

Localisation & Language Technology Standards

Terms of References

1. Advise on development of required White Papers for discussion in the Working Gorup to evolve standards.

2. Evolve Standards.

3. Manage interaction with similar initiatives and standards bodies elsewhere in the world.

4. Nominate members on various International standards committees and continuously strive towards key roles for India in such international forums.

5. Define the scope of any deliverables, expected milestones, and the process for the group participants to approve the release of these deliverables (including publishing intermediate results).

6. Determine any dependencies of other entities on the deliverables of this group.

7. Define the expected level of involvement by the members of the Team (e.g., to track developments, write and edit technical reports, , etc.).

8. Must also include an estimate of the expected time commitment from participants.

9. Requirements that a quorum of group participants support any formal decision of the group.

10. Change control of the Draft standard document and Version Management.

11. Create a supporting farmework for implementation and testing.

12. Setting timeline for the release of initial set of standards to the Apex Body of Standards of DIT.
