‘egov India 2006’ aims to focus mainly on how IT in public sector could be an instrument to increase India’s competitiveness for fostering a leadership economy. It will also address other important e-governance issues reflecting present situation and future aspirations. It would also provide a platform to hear case studies and debate on the realities and strategies of e-Governance in India.

Thus ‘egov India 2006’ is for e-Governance leaders of today and tomorrow, helping them to fight everyday challenges amidst bureaucracy, corruption and political resistance to take India on the path of developed economy.

Some issues that egov India 2006 will address is as follows:

  • Reviewing National e-Governance Plan – where are we?

  • e-Government and socio-economic growth – employment opportunities

  • Critical success factors for deploying e-Services – Policies and strategies

  • Secure e-Government – laws, regulations and security policies
