Experience:

1. Department of Information Technology ( Nov 1986 till date) e-Governance related tasks Actively involved in the preparation and implementation of National E-Governance Plan for the country aimed at speedy implementation of E-Governance using ICT. Activities include involvement in various large Mission Mode projects like India Portal(citizen portal), E-Biz (Business portal), MCA21, Income Tax, Customs and Excise and Commercial Taxes, National E-Governance Service Delivery Gateway E-Readiness Assessment of the States/UTs which is an yearly exercise, E-Governance architecture and standards, UNDP and Development Gateway Foundation’s bilateral projects on “ICT for Development” and “India Development Gateway”, e-governance knowledge portal for dissemination of best practices, case studies and knowledge sharing amongst the stakeholders etc Also an active member of various empowered committees some of which are at the State level looking at large e-governance projects implementations. E-Readiness Assessment of the Country – This involves assessing the level of ICT adoption at the States/UTs and the Central Ministries/Departments and arriving at the E-Readiness Index. Web Services Contributed to Design, Development & hosting of the Web services for the Department. ERNET India (Government ISP for the Educational Community) Have wide exposure on Networking Protocols, Services and Operations. Was responsible for implementing and running the X400, X500 and FTAM ISO/OSI applications across ERNET.

2. Hindustan Computers Ltd (HCL) Aug 1983 till Nov 1986 Worked in their R&D; division and contributed in the design and development of Networking Cards and Software. Had implemented layer two HDLC Protocol as well.

1. Electronic Governance with regards to Library Resources (published in SOUVENIR of NACLIN'99 – National Annual Convention on Library & Information Networking)
2. E-Governance - A key issue in the 21" century (Information Management in New Millennium, a conference organized by SIS)
3. E-Readiness Assessment – This paper was submitted in the Sixth National Conference on e-Governance held at Chandigarh on 24th and 25th Oct 2002. The paper was adjudged as one of the best.
4. E-Governance & E-Readiness – Paper submitted at the national level seminar on “E-Governance” orgainsed by IETE sub-center, Imphal in March 2003
5. E-Filing – Paper published in the May 2004 issue of “Chartered Secretary” a widely circulated journal of Institute of Company Secretaries of India
6. Role of Standards and Architecture for E-Governance Projects - Paper published at 8th National Conference on E-Governance held on 3-5 Feb’2005.
